E. Coli Sampling Kit
Designed for sampling meat and turkey carcasses to test for the
presence of E. coli.
● Contains a pair of sterile polyethylene gloves, 25 mL buffered peptone water (with expiration date marked on the box) a Whirl-Pak® “Speci-Sponge®” Bag, and two disposable sterile templates, one for meat carcasses and one for turkeys.
● Acquire sample by moistening the sponge with half of the peptone water, the carcass is swabbed with the sponge through the template in three places for meat carcasses and two places on turkeys. The sponge is then returned to the bag and the balance of the peptone water is added. The bag is closed and sent to the laboratory for testing.

Standard Bags
Sterile sample bags are used to take samples of liquids, semi-solids, or solids.
● Puncture-proof tabs are easier and safer to use than any other laboratory sample bag. ● Sterilized by ethylene oxide gas by an independent, ISO-Certified company.
● Documentation of sterility is available upon request.
Write-On Bags
Write-on strip makes sample identification easier and more convenient.
● The paper-like finish virtually eliminates ink smearing and provides a surface that will accept a variety of writing instruments. Ballpoint pen is recommended.
● Some also include approximate fill lines.

WARNING:
Bags should not be used at temperatures above 180 °F, 82 °C. Bags can be frozen to any temperature, even liquid nitrogen. Careful handling is required after freezing.
Guaranteed Sterile
Whirl-Pak® bags are not autoclavable. Whirl-Pak® bags are sterilized with ethylene oxide gas. Documentation of sterility is available upon request.
“Puncture Proof Tabs”
All Whirl-Pak® bags feature “Puncture Proof Tabs.” This patented process extends the tape on the tab past the wire ends eliminating the sharp points which could puncture the bags, scratch a person’s hand, or puncture gloves.
FDA Compliant
Resins used in the extrusion of film for Whirl-Pak® bags are FDA approved for food contact. Bags are manufactured in accordance with the requirements for manufacturers of single service containers for milk and milk products, as specified by the FDA.
Leak Checker
Use for modified atmosphere and vacuum packaging.
● Easily determines if there is a leak in your package due to a wrinkle in the seal area, a tear from the conveyor, or a puncture from a bone.
